Calamosche and Marzamemi Portopalo Boat Tour

We will sail from Avola to Portopalo di Capo Passero. During the coastal navigation we will head to the following locations: Avola, Calabernardo, Noto, Eloro, Marianelli, Pizzuta, Calamosche, Tonnara and the island of Vendicari, San Lorenzo, Marzamemi and Portopalo. During the journey we will have the opportunity to admire: 4 tuna fisheries, 2 islands, Roman columns, reserves, fortresses and majestic sheer cliffs, beaches with the most varied colors and caves hidden by the blue of the sea. We will make many swimming stops where the sea is more crystal clear and if possible we will anchor in front of the 3 Roman columns lying on the seabed at about 7 meters deep, we will provide everyone with fins and masks for snorkeling. I land in Marzamemi to visit the seaside village with the possibility of stopping in some restaurants and enjoying this splendid fishing village. We will leave from the nautical club of Avola, crossing the Lido di Noto We will arrive at the Vendicari Nature Reserve. We will stop to swim close to the beaches of Eloro, Marianelli and Calamosche getting as close as possible to show you and explain the history of the trap. Next we will move in front of Marzamemi, above the underwater museum where there are 3 columns of Roman times lying on the seabed, about 7 meters deep. We provide everyone with fins and masks to do some snorkeling. Then we will reach Portopalo di Capopassero where you can admire the Tafuri Castle, the Spanish Fortress and the Tonnara. We will stop to swim, and admire the beauty of the place. After the aperitif we leave for Marzamemi for the visit of the village that will last about 40 minutes, where you will be free to taste a delicious Cremolata made with fresh fruit.

MARZAMEMI by land/CAPO PASSERO by boat: Visit to Marzamemi, a charming fishing village that developed around the still active tuna factory, where you can watch the tuna being processed (exclusive to Birrico Tour). Continue towards Portopalo di Capo Passero from where you will depart by boat towards the island of Capo Passero where you will have the opportunity to swim between the Ionian Sea and the Mediterranean Sea.

Departure from Avola, southbound, first stop at the White Rocks of Lido di Noto; you will enter the Vendicari Nature Reserve for a swim in front of the beach of Calamosche; the tour will continue in the heart of the reserve to admire the Vendicari tuna trap and make a stop in front of the white beach behind the island of Vendicari. You can then observe the 4 Roman columns that are located about 5 meters deep near Marzamemi. Sicily Boats provides all participants with snorkeling equipment, i.e. fins, masks and snorkel.
