【Suwolbong peak] is a part of the tuff ring which was formed due to hydro Volcanic explosion caused by molten lava coming in contact with water. One can see the tuff formation layer by layer formed continuously throughout the cliff. It is a small oreum(Jeju languate for volcanic cone), rising 77 meters above sea level and the ocean-facing natural formation is surrounded by steches of green fields. On a clear day visitors can enjoy views of Chagwido, an island known to be the most beautiful in Jeju as well as Songaksan Mountain.
【Yongmeori Beach], also known as Dragon Head Coast, is a stunning natural attraction the southwestern region. 【Sanbangsan Mountain] is the result of violent volcanic activity some 700,000 to 800,000 years ago and is in fact a huge body of lava. The cliffs on the southern side of the lava dome are marked with a rich variety of curious formations such as weathering pits and talus scree slopes, some of which are as high as 200 meters. As its name ‘sanbang’ – literally meaning ‘a cave inside a mountain’ – suggests, this mountain contains a cave, which is located about 150 meters above sea level and has a spectacular view out over the ocean.
