Over the course of your two-hour visit, you’ll learn everything about this 136-years old institution and see its collections featuring the most valuable and important artifacts in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Our guide will take you to the Prehistory Department, the newly opened permanent exhibition. Later on, you will experience the Roman period in Bosnia and Herzegovina leading you into Early medieval period. The tour of the Archeology Department ends at the Late medieval period and the Sarajevo Haggadah room. The tour will then take you to the Botanical Garden, often described as an oasis of peace, which houses the most famous medieval tombstones. By entering the Ethnology Department, you will enter into the life and culture of the urban places of 19th century Bosnia and Herzegovina. The tour will than lead you to the Natural Sciences Department where you will dive into the diverse world of wildlife in Bosnia and Herzegovina with its astonishing 12 permanent exhibitions.
