Then we will leave for lunch in a Chilean restaurant where you can choose from a variety of typical dishes. We will start the tour by taking the metro to La Moneda, the iconic Government Palace of Chile. Here, we will discover its imposing neoclassical architecture, which has witnessed important moments in the country’s political history. During our stop at the Plaza de la Ciudadanía, you will enjoy a panoramic view of the palace and its surroundings. Then, we will immerse ourselves in the art and culture of La Moneda Cultural Center, located just below the square. In the same Plaza de Armas, we will visit the National Historical Museum, located in the former Palace of the Royal Audience. Here, we will explore the history of Chile through its permanent collections spanning from pre-Hispanic times to the 20th century. The rooms of the museum will guide us through the key moments of the formation of the country, from colonial times, through independence, to the creation of the Republic. In addition, we can visit the museum’s Clock Tower, from which you get a unique view of the Plaza de Armas and its surroundings.
