Paddy Field, Fishing And Fireflies Tour

This full-day itinerary showcases the surroundings of Kuala Lumpur, from the Sekinchan rice fields to the Kuala Selangor Nature Park mangroves. Along the way, you’ll visit Pantai Redang (Redang Beach), a rice museum and several temples. Top off the tour with a boat ride past fireflies lighting up the night forest. A seafood lunch and riverside dinner are included with round-trip hotel transport. Silver-Leafed Monkeys and long-tailed macaques are the main draw to the Melawati Hill. The significant difference between the silver-leafed babies as compared to the adults is that these babies have golden fur while the adults have dull grey colours. These monkeys are a delight; they are gentle and playful.

Starting out from your hotel in the morning, depart Kuala Lumpur for a 1.5-hour drive through the countryside. You'll pass by a palm oil plantation and jungle landscape, then stop at a Chinese temple and the 'Wishing Tree' along the way. After another stop at Redang Beach your guide takes you to the fishing village of Sekinchan for a fresh seafood lunch

Then continue on to the Sekinchan rice fields where, depending on the time of year, the colors vary from planting to harvesting season. Learn about the history of this major rice-producing region at the local museum

On your way out of Sekinchan you'll visit Nan Tian Temple

and Melawati Hill, a former fort with an antique cannon facing the Straits of Malacca.

Proceed onward toward Kuala Selangor for a seafood dinner served at the riverside around sunset

Tour may be done at Pasir Penambang Firefly due to some circumstance. Once dinner has finished and night is upon you, join your boat ride through the mangroves to view the fireflies. You will be amazed by these mesmerizing insects in an area known to have one of the largest colonies in the world. Your day trip concludes with the return transfer to your hotel in Kuala Lumpur.
