It was originally the family temple of Wang Zhen, who was a Grand Eunuch of the Ming Dynasty. Afterwards, let's take a stroll inside the local neighborhood and to visit the Hutong Museum, which nestled in a traditional well-preserved Beijing Courtyard. The exhibition at the Shijia Hutong Museum tells the life story of the former owner of this courtyard, as well as its history and the culture of traditional hutong life in Beijing.

This temple has a fascinating long history, going all the way back to the 15th century. It was originally the family temple of Wang Zhen, who was a Grand Eunuch of the Ming Dynasty. Today it is the largest wooden building complex from the Ming Dynasty in Beijing.
