Catherine Park is situated in the heart of the capital. De Wollant Park is a public park in Tiraspol that was named after the Flemish engineer François-Paul Sainte de Wollant. There are several statues and monuments, as well as the Dniester River on the south side. There are several entrances to De Wollant Park, but the most notable is the extremely stately entry through Catherine Gate on 25th October Street.
